The Volkswagen Beetle has been a fan favorite for generations. Its quirky shape, simple design, and big personality have made it one of the most recognizable cars! At the Orlando Auto Museum inside Dezerland Park Orlando, you can check out a huge collection of Beetles.

How the Beetle Evolved

For most of its life, the classic VW Beetle kept things simple: a rear‑mounted engine and storage in the front. That setup became a trademark of the car for decades.

Then in 1997, Volkswagen launched the New Beetle. It kept the familiar rounded look but switched to a more modern, front‑engine layout. It was a new take on a timeless favorite.

This Beetle Mixes Old School and New School

The museum features a custom build that combines the best of both worlds. It takes the body of a 1997 New Beetle and mounts it onto the frame of a classic Beetle. On the outside, it looks like the newer model but underneath, it’s pure vintage engineering.

It’s a creative mix between the two that shows just how much personality the Beetle has had across its many versions. Car fans love checking out how the two generations come together in one ride.

A Must‑See for VW Lovers

If you’re into Volkswagens, this car is a highlight. And it’s just one of many Beetles and other iconic vehicles on display throughout our museum’s massive collection.

Whether you’re a longtime Beetle fan or just love unique builds, this custom creation is definitely worth a look.
